How’s that Wedding Planning coming along Lover? Have you nailed down a Wedding Style yet?

If your answer is no or a non-committal “Um kinda, I have some ideas…” I totally hear you. Deciding on a wedding style is SO HARD. There is so much to choose from, so many different ideas and components that there are a lot of conflicting thoughts that can often make selecting your wedding style challenging.

I have found that as a Wedding Stylist the pressure has become slightly overwhelming in the recent weeks, the Wedding Stylist is expected to have something extra special right? 

Thinking on this though, I think this is a pressure most Lovers place on themselves when wedding planning. The pressure to make it as perfect/cool/timeless but still on trend as possible and you have to get it right because you only get one shot! All these ideas and expectations can swirl around in your head and keep you up at night! 

Personally, choosing my venue has helped with refining my style direction a lot. Once I had a space to work with I found a lot of the noise started to drop away. 

I also decided to pick some descriptive words or phrases to describe my wedding style or vibe and revisit them whenever considering a styling element; for my wedding these are ‘stripped-back’, ‘chic’ & ‘vintage Italian’. Using these words, I also refined my mood board and Pinterest board to reflect these 3 pillars to build upon.

I have also found it incredibly helpful to chat to my very talented and experienced colleagues. Sometimes an outside opinion of someone you trust is the best thing to help you refine that direction.
