With a solitaire engagement ring, no matter if its round, princess cut or a fancy shape the band that best compliments these rings include a thin and equally elegant pavè straight diamond band. This type of band adds extra sparkle, complimenting your stunning engagement ring without taking away from the centrepiece. 

Three stone engagement rings should be paired with a wedding band featuring similarly cit stones, such as a baguette wedding band. However, if your three stoned engagement ring is crafted with Emerald or Princess cut diamonds, then it's recommended to select a wedding band with similar shaped stones, or something to resemble this style. 

If your engagement ring features a single row of diamonds it's recommended to select a wedding band with a similar style of diamonds. For example, if your rings has channel set diamonds, then so should your band. As for the width of your band, it should be matching to your engagement rings width, to allow for consistency. 

Heirloom rings are beautiful, but can sometimes be hard to pair it back with a band to give it a modern look. It's important to choose a wedding band that has one main element in common with the heirloom/vintage design. This could be something as simple as pairing a design that may have rose gold elements with a rose gold wedding band. Or, if your ring has vintage design features or hand crafted elements, then you should choose a wedding band that reflects these elements.

Having an engagement ring that is a show stopper, always turning heads, there are ideally only two styles of bands that you should choose from, to compliment and not take away from your show stopping engagement ring.
