Q: Silent Shout offers a range of packages and services to suit different budgets and preferences. How do you work with couples to find the right package for their needs?
We prioritise simplicity in our wedding services to ease the overwhelming planning process for couples who are constantly faced with making decisions throughout the wedding planning process. Our packages revolve around the key wedding moments: Ceremony, Canapés, and Reception, with no time restrictions. For example, if you need a DJ for your reception, we offer a 'Reception DJ' option.
Upon initial inquiry, we seek essential information: Date and Venue details, what music gets you pumped for a night out, your music preferences, the importance of music to you as a couple, and insights about your day and vendors. Understanding a couple's taste in music will give me a quick indication of whether live music or a DJ suits them best.
When making your choice, consider what you love. Do you enjoy a live acoustic session at Sunday drinks or prefer a DJ playing house music? These intricate questions are important to consider when choosing your wedding entertainment and allow us to work these vibes into your wedding day and it’s all an extension of the couple.
Q. Lighting, sound, and DJing all play a critical role in creating the Silent Shout experience. Can you tell us more about how you use these elements to create an immersive and unforgettable event for your clients?
Lighting, sound, and DJing play pivotal roles in crafting the Silent Shout experience. These elements have been carefully considered to all work together to complement and elevate what we do.
You know those moments at a festival or even a club when everyone has their phones out? They’re aiming to capture that full production of sound, lighting & and high-end performance. Our goal has been to capture that quality, condense it and produce it for the wedding environment.
Our DJs invest significant time and dedication into creating a unique set for your special day. Playing a wedding is akin to headlining a festival stage, and we put that same passion into every performance.
Q. Do you have any funny or memorable stories from weddings you've performed at?
There are countless memorable moments every week, but one recent standout was at The Casha's wedding. Maddy, a devoted Boo Seeka fan, had her dreams come true thanks to the collaboration of Tommy, her new hubby and our very own Angus who had reached out to Ben, from Boo Seeka, to arrange a surprise performance.
Q. What advice do you have for couples who are nervous about getting on the dance floor, especially for a Bridal Party entry or first dance?
Remember, you are not alone! You have an entire guest list at the ready.
Reception Entry: Consider entering as a group with your bridal party. It's a fun and high-energy way to kick off the reception without drawing too much attention solely to yourselves if you don’t want it.
For the first dance, there are various approaches. If you're nervous but want to capture images and videos, arrange a private moment with your photographer and videographer, and we can provide a portable speaker for this purpose.
Worried about your guests not getting involved? Plan for your MC to call on your guests up to the dancefloor to form a circle around you.
Q: You are a guest at a wedding. What song is always going to get you to the dance floor?
I’m a big house fan and writing this I just got tickets to Dom Dolla’s Melbourne show so let's roll with big Dom. What a legend!
